Introducing Bug Off Soap and Repellent Stick

20150512_184909

Four French Hens welcomes Bug Off soap and the repellent stick to the family of handmade goats milk soaps and products.

Bug Off has been tried and tested here at the farm at Four French Hens.  We love the results and the few simple natural ingredients that make up these two products.  The idea was born one evening relaxing in the garden sitting area watching the chickens congregate around and do their crazy chicken antics.  It was a warm humid spring evening and the mosquitos had just started to hatch after all of the rain we’ve been having and within a few minutes they completely ran us off from our favorite area to hang out.   My husband told me sweetie I  think we need to come up with a product to help with the insects this time of year.   I knew from my experience with using  essential oils which ones were good for repelling bugs.  I put together a formula for a soap and made a few changes in the oils  so the soap would be a softer soap.

After testing the soap I decided I need to make a repellent balm to go with the soap.   The balm is roll up stick that smells amazing with rosemary, lavender, peppermint, cedarwood and citronella essential oils.  Cocoa butter and coconut oil leave your skin feeling soft and conditioned.
